IMG_3640In 5 short days the 14 people that will make up the Summer 2009 cohort of Adamah will arrive! We’re spending most of this week preparing for their arrival; setting up tents, fixing bikes, readying Beit Adamah and taking care of all the logistics of introducing the Adamahniks to Isabella Freedman.  Despite last night’s frost signs of summer are popping up everywhere. The cucmbers made their way into the cold frame today, gearing up for their final stop in the sadeh. Weeds are growing like crazy- in the sadeh, on BeBee Hill and in the gan. Goat milking has begun again on a small scale, anticipating the time when the kids are weaned and enjoy grass instead of milk.

With the ceremonial hike to the overlook on Monday morning, 14 new people will be ushered into the beautiful madness that is Adamah. We can’t wait!
