The Adva Network Presents: “Turning Vision Into Reality: How to Create an Effective Proposal”

The Adva Network, supporting alumni of the Adamah Fellowship and educators from the Teva Learning Center, is organizing a day-long workshop on turning your idea or vision into a professional proposal. The workshop will be on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Eden Village Camp near Cold Spring, NY. It will be awesome.

A cost of $18 will get you a wonderful vegetarian lunch, as well as top notch facilitators and a beautiful natural setting. (Golly!)

The workshop will cover the major components and intricacies of developing goals and objectives and why they are important to a professional proposal. Creation of methods, timelines and budgets will be discussed, and each person will be given the opportunity to develop these and work towards the creation of their own proposal. Learn from established Adamah and Teva alum and other experienced professionals in an intimate and supportive setting.

Finally, after working our minds all day, stretch and enliven your body in the fields with a work session led by the Jewish Farm School to help get the farms and ground of Eden Village ready for camp next summer!

Eden Village is accessible via the Cold Spring stop on the Hudson Metro-North line. There will be transportation from and to the Cold Spring station Sunday morning and evening.

Check out www.advanetwork.org to sign up for the workshop (so we know how much lunch to make) and make a reservation for the shuttle or see more specific driving directions.

Come learn how to approach your synagogue to start a composting program, raise money to purchase a more efficient boiler at your community center, start a school garden or much more!
